Briza maxima is also known as Greater Quaking Grass, Pearl grass, Briza major.
A hardy annual that will give you light twinkly stems early in the season perfect to complement your arrangements of Ranunculus and Roses, gently reflecting in the light and giving texture.
Briza maxima is also a beautiful garden plant. Its softens the edges of beds and borders and give all important movement and sound as the breeze passes through.
How to Grow:
Sow direct or into individual cells either in Autumn or early Spring. For the best results allow plants time to grow before the Summer heat. Cut regularly to promote further stems to appear. Will gently self sow.

Cutting /Vase Life:
Harvest by gently pulling stems once the droplets have formed. We rest our stems for a few hours in water, this is called conditioning.
May also be used as a dried flower, dry stems upside down for an indefinite vase life.
