Cornflower ‘Blue Boy’ (SOLD OUT)

Cornflower ‘Blue Boy’

Centaurea cyanus

Cornflowers are also known as Bachelor’s Buttons.  ‘Something Blue’ is very popular for Weddings and Cornflower ‘Blue Boy’ stands up well out of water (as the common name suggests).

Bright and vivid Cornflower ‘Blue Boy’ is the one I choose when sowing straight blues.

A welcome splash of colour to the garden or allotment, cornflowers are perfect for the beginner. Blooming over a long period they perfectly compliment other hardy annuals such as Orlaya grandiflora, Sweet Rocket, Ammi Majus and Sweetpeas…

How to Grow:
Sow direct or into individual cells either in Autumn and early Spring. For the best results allow plants time to grow before the Summer heat pushes them into bloom. Provide support for nice straight stems and deadhead regularly to promote further blooms to appear.  For more detailed growing instructions join our ‘Grow Along’ on Instagram
